The Dream

We hear The American Dream our whole life. What does that mean? For most, it means buying and owning our own home. Picket fence, 2.5 kids, dog, cat, neighbors, barbeque, cutting grass, etc. That’s what we strive for. We want to get a great job so we can buy our piece of the American dream.

Then we start looking… do we go to a Realtor? Get a loan? What about these special First Time Buyer programs we hear about? ANYONE can buy a home!!! Just call this Realtor, or call this bank, or Mortgage lender, and they will put you in your dream home.

Not so fast…

What is a contract? Title Company? GFE, 1003, good faith money, down payment, credit score??? Pre-approval, closing, walk through??

It is overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. I will, on this site try to answer all those questions and more, before you start the process. Also, for many who have already purchased their first home (like I did) and didn’t really understand what they did, hopefully we can shed light on the entire process and save money and stress for years to come.
